Essendon Fixtures
The Bombers travel to Sydney to face the GWS Giants in the first round of the 2019 Essendon fixture and play Collingwood at the MCG in the final round.
Essendon has fared well in the draw with Good Friday and Anzac Day games, along with two Thursday nights and four Friday night matches. The two Thursday night matches are consecutive weeks against the West Coast Eagles (Round 19) in Perth and GWS Giants (Round 20) in Melbourne. Interestingly enough, Essendon has 9 matches in Melbourne in the first eleven rounds.
Double up matches for the Bombers include Collingwood, GWS Giants, Sydney Swans, North Melbourne and Fremantle, and they have the bye in Round 12.
